Good Morning, brothers and sisters, teachers and students, ladies and gentlemens. I'm Saifudeen Hisham, You may know me or maybe not. For those who don't know about me, I once came to this stage last year to give a speech on space and instead sang a rap song. Alteast its what most audiences felt like because the words jumped out of my mouth so fast that it felt like a rap song. It was due to stage fear. I'm not gonna bore you with all that stuff because this speech is reserved for something about space and confidence. Or like Einstein will put it space-confidence— ok only science nerds will get that pun.
So Apollo 11 is one of the most famous manned space mission ever. For starters, it was a mission that landed two astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin C Aldrin to the moon. All most all of you guys know who Neil Armstrong is. But it isn't the case for Edwin C Aldrin. FYI, he was working for US Airforce and experience space walking whereas Neil Armstrong was just a worker at US Navy.
When the spaceflight reached the moon, NASA sent their first command to the pilot. It was to Edwin to enter the unexplored mysterious surface of the moon. But he got frightened, he started to think would it kill him, would it burn him.... Meanwhile, NASA sent their second command to Neil Armstrong to enter. And without much hesitation, he entered and changed the course of history within a few second. This all happened within a few seconds.
It'd have been the name of Edwin that people would have been studying if he entered the moon first, But because of his fear, he lost his fame and all. So from now onwards, let us see the moon as a gesture of confidence and courage.
Honestly, it is a bit embarrassing to say that even I was anxious to give this speech. But I always say "I can do this" inside my mind and I also imagined this speech several times before even presenting it on stage. Even when I was coming on the school bus. I'd like to say a quote and end this speech within a few more words.
Shoot for the moons, atleast you'll fall on the stars.Physically, it is impossible. Because the moon is closer to Earth than other stars except for Sun. Even the closest star is more than a few light years away from us... And I'd also like to say that the digital version of this speech is available on my blog - www.saifudeenhisham.com. And there is no letter "H" in the name "Saifudeen" cause most people get it wrong. That is it, Thank You
